Nigel clough is rumoured to be in talks with Arsenal
for a suspected transfer for 2 reserve one being Sanchez Watt (price not known) and the second being Benik Afobe on a free transfer.

Nicky Maynard is prepared to drop back into the championship to get first team football. Several teams would like his services including Derby.

Ok time to clear some of the rubbish on here
Fielding - Does not have a buy-out clause, Derby refuse them in contracts since losing Huddlestone for £2.5M a few years ago, so whoever said that made it up.
Shackall - Is not leaving Derby, especially at the price that is being offered by Burnley, he is currently our captain, and with Barker out it would be suicide to sell.
S Davies & Bailey - allegedly there has been a bid accepted for them from Burnley at a combined price of £2.3M, but this has not been confirmed by either club, so unsure as to whether its true.
Derby targets were
Jacobs - Will be out of Contract at Northampton on July 1st, but as under 24, the club he leaves will be entitled to compensation, a contract, may well have been agreed, compensation has not
Dixon- looks like he's Bristol City bound as Derby won't pay the wages he was looking for, no other alternatives have been mentioned seriously
Pearce - lots of rumours, nothing confirmed by anyone, but the rumours are from both sides, so may well go through
Cox - Derby did have an interest but it seem he wants to stay at West Brom and fight for place under new manager
Grigg - a maybe as seems to fit with the derby transfer policy and walsall have a good reputation of bringing on good forwards
Russell - Price tag and wages are to high for Derby and that rules him out
Vokes - is a possible but will wolves want to sell, and how much competition is there
others
Derby wont be signing players over 25 if possible as they want to give youth a chance
Also Derby have pre-prepared for financial fair play so there wage bill is less than many on here are likely to believe

shackell is not moving away from derby, stop making up these stupid rumours.... it'll cost alot more then 3million to change cloughs mind as we dont need to sell....

Clough has put Maynard at the top of his wanted> list. He belives with a top striker Derby will be a top 6 club. It all depends on who West Ham bring in & what playing assurances Maynard is given.
1.5mil to 2 mill asking price will probably kill the deal but why has clough put him on the list unless he has funds ?
Nugent is another on the list to look at.
