James Perch on a season long loan from Newcastle is a done deal, and will be announced shortly, this deal could turn into a permanent move if he does OK. he can play anywhere in defence or as a holding midfield player, he would be a good signing in my opinion.

Frazer Hicklin to sign for Derby as a third goalkeeper, he was awarded keeper of the year for the Blue Sqaure North and is coming on a free. He is a Derby fan and will be a great addition. Last year he played for Histon earning 23 clean sheets out of 38 for the club. This is talent. Source is News.

Just got back from the school with my mate Ryan Whitiker who plays for Hucknall town. He says that there has been interest in him from Derby. I've only ever played against him at power league but i can tell you now and he is a quality striker. He said he would be seriously tempted by a move to Pride Park but deep down he's a red so that could be a potential deal breaker.

I am a dedicated Derby fan, i love the club and i wish i didn't have to say this but, my mate works with Mclaren at Forest and he says that Forest are set to sign two of our players, one is Barker and the other is Bailey. They are being offered way higher wages then we pay them and they are amongst 6 other players that will undergo medicals at the City Ground before Forest fly to Portugal. They have a agreed their personal terms and will sign by Monday. Looks like we'll be chasing some other players now then and here you are:
To replace Barker will be Derik Boyata of Man City and to replace Bailey will be Shaun Wright-Phillips of Man City.
Barker and Bailey are terminated contracts and are leaving but we now have the chance for 2 better players from Man City.

Derby County are persuing Huddersfield's winger Anthony Pilkington, an offer of around the region of 1.9 million is being evaluated by the Rams manager Nigel Clough, Clough hasn't issued a statement indicating he's interest in Huddersfield main man and doesn't look like he will as he likes too keep other teams from gazumping Pilkington. Pilkington has caught the attention of Norwich City who supposedly made a bid of 1.75 million, Derby's offer will be a last ditch attempt too persuade Huddersfield, it's also believed that the £1.75 million offer has been reject which was made by the recently promoted team, Norwich. Derby scouts have been spotted looking at Huddersfield ground, Jason Shackell made a statement today (21.6.11) saying "Derby are still chasing 1 or 2 players". Pilkington and Chris Maguire are the players most likely to join the Rams for the upcoming season.

Nigel is looking for a centre midfielder and a winger, plus full back cover. we now have 6 goalies on our books so why would we sign Paul Smith (Forest), Bywater is leaving and Atkins is going out on loan possibly to Burton. Riggot has been offered a trial as Cloughie is worried about Anderson and Buxton getting injuried again like last season as they were both out most of the season. Burton have 1st refusal on loaning Mark O'brien, Callum Ball or Jeff Hendrick as part of the Legzdins deal and the Rams are looking to loan out Ryan Connolly and Lee Croft to get 1st team football, Goalies James Severn or Saul Deeney may go on loan once Deeney is fit. Nigel is looking at former Crewe defender Danny Blanchett as he is training at moor farm, he was linked with a move to Palace last season, but was not offered a new contact at Crewe due to a dip in form. Also Matt Duke is training with the Rams but this is just to keep match fit.
