Just to say, as an impartial observer, (am a Celtic fan) that in Chris Maguire Derby have signed themselves a good 'un A player with good ability just now and the potential to become a cracker Congrats to Nigel Clough for this signing, I wouldn't have been against the lad signing for Celtic put it that way. Craig Bryson also a good player.

We might not of been very good last season nut we will finish above the red dogs mcclarens got no idea about this division
Mcclaren will be a breath of fresh air and his signings will make yours look amateurish, never heard of most of them anyway
Giles barnes is your major signing and he is injury prone can't remember you signing anyone else

Shackell is your only decent signing. Tyson has shedloads of pace and in big games will perform, but Nigel is an idiot, he thinks that he'll put him as a centre forward when he plays his best as a winger (Notice Tys was on the wing when he was amazing against Derby last season. Twice). SPL signings don't work in the Championship, he wasn't great against League 2 equivalent opposition.
You'll be better. But not much. .

I love the optimism we have on here but its a very different tale in real life.
I am connected with the club and know that there will be NO big singings this year. We simply haven't got the money for it. FACT.
Expect another season of dreary boring football and a relegation fight because Tyson surely isn't going to fire us up the table.
If I had to pay for my season ticket, it would be a definate no no from me.
Sorry if I have put a dampener on things but its the way it is and I think the fans have a right to know. Rant over.

Billy Davies is been lined up for a return if we do not have a much needed good start to the season. We may try and rival forest in there pursuit of Owen Hargreaves. We may not be able to compete with wages but could tempt with a much more attractive offer as they are looking at a pay as you play offer.

Derby County have lost the battle too sign Vargas who clearly believes he's too good for championship football, Derby have already been informed and are looking at the likes of out-of-favour football Veteran Robert Pires who wants to stay in Midlands and also admitted he'd like to join Derby in a statement released yesterday. I am a Birmingham journalist and came across this story this morning as a Birmingham fan myself I would love for him to join us.

You're doomed putting Tyson as a centre forward, can't hit a barn door with a rocket launcher nowadays, put him on as a winger and he can be excellent, but Clough is a clown, he said that 'His goalscoring record at Wycombe is very impressive', he scored 42 in 213 games for Forest.
Get ready for League 1 if he does.
That's obviously why he said at Wycombe then, not Forest

You will be, your team is worse than last seasons. You're putting a man that is ten times better as a winger than a striker, as a striker. And nicked an average striker from Aberdeen. You'll be at the most 14th or 15th.
Go take a look at Chris Maguire goal in the under 21 play off final for Scotland against Iceland on youtube.And tell me he is a average striker.He is the one that you should play as a winger.You will see what I mean when you see his vision.Derby are doing the right thing, coming in for young up and coming Scots.If it was good enough for old man Clough.Its good enough for his boy.
