West Brom and Stoke join in battle to entice Bent to sign on a free this summer. Tim Sherwood told not to try to persuade Bent to sign for another year with extra year option and allow him to leave. Bent wants prem football and is not willing to drop a league to Derby next year also confusion over McClaren staying or going means he may not be offered anything at Derby at all. Ince will return to Hull City even if they are relegated.

Derby spent massively last year recruiting for under 21 side and directors want to see academy side and reserve side produce 1st teamers this year. As a club the owners have written off £7 million debt each year for the last few years and do not expect to keep doing so. They can't afford to prop up the club if it under achieves and fails to gain prem league promotion. Derby will offer new managers a limited budget to bring in new players and coaching staff and want to see the likes of Santos, Calero, Issem****ambo, McDonald, Hanson, Thomas all included in 1st team squads for next year.

Clement does not want to move Madrid to Derby. See McClaren go and Allardyce brought in, yes, Allardyce you heard it here first!

Agree1 Disagree7

Bull about can't afford it no money to spend my arse mel Morris sold candy crush for $7billion which he owned 67% making a nice $4.6billion so saying they can't afford is well of the mark not saying that they want to keep paying money in and getting nothing back that's different big Sam is not taking over it more then likely going to be clement other to in the frame are dyche and Paul lambert

Allardyce you having a laugh, we'll never get him, useless manager

I wish Morris had made 4.6 billion dollars. he made 450 million quid from Candy Crush, a nice sum of money, but not quite in the billions range.

I don't expect Derby to spend big money though. I think they are investing in a top coach in Clement to get the best out of what we already have.

Where do you all get this " he sold it for this thing from? I know him well and he still owns it. people do make stuff up

Heard that celtic are after Jeff Hendrick

Agree1 Disagree0

Hendrick will leave Derby if Paul Clement come in as new manager I have hear Clement will raise the funds to bring in new signings and I hear last night Clement will sign Spanish players and other foreign players as well

22 May 2015 19:55:49
Derby are interested in Peter Wittingham and Craig Noone.

Agree1 Disagree2

Neil Morris is set to change manager and bring one in before they sack Steve Mcclaren this is dragging on he was in talks with Sam Rush on thurday and Friday so what going on

Think you mean Mel Morris?

Mel Morris wants to sack Steve Mcclaren because he never come out to say I am going to newscastle united or I am staying at Derby County this season I feel he will go next week

21 May 2015 21:29:54
Derby County are set to sack Steve McClaren. The developments have been due to added backing by Candy Crush tycoon Mel Morris who is looking to increase his investment and involvement with the club. Morris is looking at potentially taking over from Andy Appleby as chairman of Derby.

Following this news, and Derby Chief Exec Sam Rush's trip to the United States to meet the DCFC owners, it appears McClaren's time is up.

Paul Clement, the Real Madrid assistant is the man to replace McClaren, likely to be announced early next week following the climax of Real Madrid's season on Saturday evening.

Paul Clement is set to replace McClaren as manager.

Agree6 Disagree1

Not a 100% sure this will happen and is tge best desicion buy I can see why it would happen

Would prefer Sean Dyche!!

I have hear Steve Mcclaren has not been sacked by Derby today we will wait and see what happens tomorrow if Mcclaren leave Rams than Real Madrid coach Paul Clement will be line up to take over next week

20 May 2015 17:40:10
Sam Rush on stateside visit with meetings with owners. Also scouting and meeting with representatives of USA international DeAndre Yedlin.

Another yank targetted is a goalkeeper, currently playing in England. (Federici?)

Agree0 Disagree7

Federici is Australian

They put a one year deal to friedal but he chose to retire instead

Derby are set to replace Steve Mcclaren with Real Madrid coach Paul Clement this summer and the discussions have been already take place between Derby and Clement

No they haven't, if anything see McClaren come out of talks with a new four year deal. Clement rumours are just rubbish papertalk.

19 May 2015 12:43:12
Jamie Ward is on his way to Forest on a free transfer.

Agree8 Disagree3

If Ward will join Nottingham Forest in the summer but he could be having a medical with them today

18 May 2015 19:00:37
Derby are interested in David Forde from Milwall.

Agree8 Disagree4

He would be a good signing for the club it is not fair on ross

This would probably mean Roos would go out on loan

17 May 2015 19:09:27
Derby looking to bring a few heads in to add quality to the side to push for promotion again next season in a league that looks there for the taking.

Bristol City, MK Dons & Preston/Swindon not likely to provide as much of a threat as Wolves or Brentford. Burnley and Hull do not look like they will run away with it. Financial implications to QPR through FFP fines may prevent them having a successful season.

IN:
Dunk OR Shackell - £1.5mil (roughly)
New RB - Wisdom? - Loan
Luke Garbutt - Free
New CDM - Luongo of Swindon?
Swap deal with Villa, possibly Westwood.
Bent - Free
Jota - £2mil
Ince - £3mil
PL wide player loaned in.

OUT:
One of Shotton/Buxton/Keogh
Hendrick to Villa - £5mil plus swap deal
Warnock - free/nominal fee

Agree8 Disagree4

I think Mcclaren will add experience quality signings to strengthen the squad in the summer and new signings will make better players in the squad for next season

This list of players could be different if Mac leaves.

17 May 2015 10:09:43
Derby are in for Jota from Brentford.

Agree14 Disagree2

Rate him highly would be a very good signing

Fit the way we play amazing signing if we get him

Presumably one or two of our existing three attacking mid-fielders will be on the way out if that is the case. I would have thought getting three more defensive mid-fielders would be higher on the priority list (two if Eustace is retained) along with two new full backs and two more centre halves. (Starter Full backs and squad centre halves)
Then coach the mid-field for defensive shape and movement.

£2mil would be a good price. Would fit us lovely and I think a 4-2-3-1 system in this shape would look very strong:

Hughes Thorne
Russell Jota Ince
Martin

Great signing, but Wouldn't pay the 2mil rumoured tho

He is also best mates with Albentosa, they played for eibar together

16 May 2015 19:18:44
Derby are considering moves for Jason Shackell and Ben Mee

Agree10 Disagree5
